Anchor Marlitt is a 4 ply embroidery thread made of 100% viscose rayon. The high luster of the rayon gives it the look of silk for a fraction of the cost. It is excellent for decorative stitching of all kinds including hardanger, cross stitch, and counted thread work, as well as small crocheted items.
